Sea Lemon - “Vaporized”

From her upcoming EP, Stop At Nothing, Seattle-based Sea Lemon makes her way back onto the blog with “Vaporized.”

This sweet serving of shoegaze-infused dream pop begins with a swelling synth, supplemented by what appears to be some city foley (judging by the accompanying video, it could be from a park). A few moments later, the production bursts to life with a peppy, yet gentle rhythm and Sea Lemon’s mesmerizing vocal stylings.

The ethereal and soothing sounds that will make their way into your ears are the very reason that they call this genre dream pop. And the way that Sea Lemon has layered her reverberating vocals atop a soundscape of synth and jangly guitars will likely be what keep “Vaporized” in your rotation until the end of time.

Everything that “Vaporized” beholds is perfect for the summer. From its Alvvays-esque arrangement, to its Soccer Mommy-ish vocal delivery, it’s the perfect combination for abandoning all responsibilities as you escape via automobile and hit every green light on your way to anywhere-but-wherever-you-are.

And be sure not to sleep on this campy video! Join us in pressing play as we all await the August 25th release of Stop At Nothing!
