Devlin & The Harm - “No Havana”
From Los Angeles, Devlin & The Harm has just released “No Havana,” a lo-fi, gritty serving of righteous west coast indie rock.
This tune is pounded to life by a confident and steady 4/4 rhythm, with the hints of spring reverb foley preparing the listener for the ensuing guitars. In the spirit of time-tested epic rock songs, “No Havana” begins each line of its verses with a catchy, ear-worm of a refrain that digs its dirty claws into you as soon as it enters your earholes.
“No Havana” does not pander to commercial appeal, leaving all of its rough edges intact as evidence that it was created by actual human beings. Autotune and digital tomfoolery are nowhere to be found; instead, music lovers can catch a nostalgic vibe that is equal parts Oasis and Urge Overkill– one that begs to be experienced from the stage.
The track comes complete with an acoustic guitar-led dynamic break, allowing us to briefly come up for air before abruptly returning to its natural, mammoth state of sonic existence. With gang vocals and subdued licks from the lead guitar, this one leaves you no choice but to enjoy it on a constant loop, which is exactly what we’ve been doing since they sent it over to us.
“No Havana” has been expertly crafted by the hands of Devlin McCluskey and forged in the raw fires of garage rock. Teaming up with producer Alex Newport (Death Cab for Cutie), McCluskey has served up one of our favorite songs of 2026. Listen to it now wherever you get your music.
