Daniel Wright Goldberger - “For You”

Los Angeles-based producer and songwriter Daniel Wright Goldberger has taken a break from writing songs for other artists in order to bring us “For You,” a folksy and snappy love song.

This tune begins with a raw and intimately uplifting acoustic guitar performance, setting the pace for the chill, feel-good vibes that are soon to wash over the listener. Daniel’s vocal soon arrives, warm and heartfelt as he delivers lyrics that are bound to resonate with those who have ever felt deeply in love, even going so far as contemplating a darker timeline of never having met that special someone.

The chorus invites the rural sounds of some muted banjo strings, ultimately revealing a full-band arrangement at the start of the second verse. And even upon the emergence of the deep bass and gentle percussion, “For You” never once tries to abandon its raw and tender production, entering the ears of the listener as though a love letter that has been set to music.

Highlights include a subtle vocal harmony on the hook and an extremely tastefully displayed guitar lead that marks the final third of the track. If you are familiar with our blog, you will already know that we often steer clear of love songs and, instead, tend to traverse darker subject matter, but something about “For You” is completely enchanting– and spreading a little positivity never hurt anybody.
