Cat Clyde - “I Feel It”

Cat Clyde comes to us from Canada with a fresh perspective and vintage vibe. And while these two ingredients are often enough to land artists on our blog, her latest cut, “I Feel It,” has completely won us over as a slow-burning anthem for our tribe: empaths.

One of the potential dangers in feeling everything so profoundly is the loneliness that can come along with doing so. “I Feel It” is a reminder that we do not necessarily have to feel everything all at once on our own. This track is so raw that it resembles the passion that inspired it– for all we know, Clyde simply sat at a piano and hit record; there is no multi-million-dollar production here, just like there is no autotune on the feelings that we feel. Emotion can be abrasive and ugly and when it is coming from everything around you, it can be the anchor wrapped around your chest. Thankfully, it can also be what fuels our art and “I Feel It” is a five-minute weighted blanket that will allow you to appreciate the fact that you, at times, might experience everything a little too deeply.

This track comes ahead of Cat Clyde’s upcoming LP, Down Rounder, due out on February 17. If “I Feel It” is any indication of what’s in store for us, you’re going to want to smash the hell out of this pre-save link.
