Hayden Calnin - “Gravity Find Us & Bring Us In”

Hayden Calnin returns with his new single “Gravity Find Us & Bring Us In.” It’s an emotional journey that traverses a universe of sound, from the intimate to the epic and back again. A set of acoustic guitars strum softly to get things going. Hayden’s voice is bold and full and he utilizes nice layering that builds and grows as the song develops. Lyrically, it’s an interesting exploration that works a bit in abstraction, but works well as a journey of existential introspection.

Things get pretty epic in the bridge, as inventive instrumentation stacks up to quite the climax. Big drums, distant hand claps, and strings merge into a giant sound, followed by a return to the very up-close & intimate sonic space where the song began. And as the pair of guitars strum along, it seems that perhaps this epic journey is about love after all. Hayden sings, “We gave it everything. I’m gonna miss your face. Time to go our separate ways. Time to accept you didn’t want to stay.” Time for you to press play.

Calnin says that “Gravity Find Us & Bring Us In” is “about trying to find your place in the world after it has taken a big shift. It's about re-thinking your outlook on life.”
