CAROUSELS - “The Fine Line”

Copenhagen, Denmark-based indie rock band CAROUSELS make a triumphant return to the blog with their latest tune: “The Fine Line.”

The song opens with a wide, full-band production, reintroducing music lovers to CAROUSELS’ delightful brand of modern psychedelic rock. The rhythm is provided by a tight groove that bounds the kick drum to the bass, wonderfully cementing the heart of “The Fine Line,” forming its sumptuous, hard-hitting foundation.

Ear candy is delivered by a creamy and dreamy lead guitar that transcends the soundscape with mesmerizing licks and noodles. Keys punctuate the tempo as the vocal performance begins, confident and emotive in its delivery. Harmonies are sprinkled in at all the right moments, highlighted by dashes of synth that are bound to keep you returning to “The Fine Line,” over and over again.

The syncopation of the verse is marvelously juxtaposed with the smooth flow of the refrain, bringing a fantastic dynamic fluctuation to the overall composition. With “The Fine Line,” CAROUSELS have successfully melded classic sounds from the late ‘70s to the more modern psych elements of present day artists, such as Arctic Monkeys and Temples. Pressing play will secure your status as a fan of the band and, like us, look forward to each of their new releases.
