Alien Tango - “B.F.F.”

Alien Tango has just released his new single, “B.F.F.” which is an ode to friendship and love. The song is a disco tune, but as with all things Alien Tango, it’s better than John Travolta swinging in tight trousers off the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge… Here is what I thought…

Alien Tango, known for their experimentation and genre-bending style, does not disappoint with this track. “B.F.F.” is a disco-infused tune that starts off with a reminiscent nod to U2’s “Lemon”… The catchy, mantra-like lyrics, paired with the funky bass line and disco orchestral arrangement, make for a dance-worthy banger. This foundation is what makes this song an absolute ear worm. The middle of the song takes a turn into a collage of madness, adding to the overall brilliant unpredictability of the artist’s work. Stroboscopic synths pulsate here as well.

The guitar solo, the only thing that could be considered “normal,” adds a nice touch of familiarity to the otherwise experimental track. Overall, “B.F.F.” is a funky, disco-infused banger with more than a touch of madness. I really cannot do this song justice in reviewing it. I love Alien Tango.
