Jeremy Voltz - “Miracles”

Jeremy Voltz is a Toronto-based indie artist who produces music that lands a bit outside of our usual genre preferences; however, when we heard his new single, “Miracles,” we could not turn it down– in fact, we turned it wayyyyy up.

Miracles” is a collaboration between Voltz and singer-songwriter Oliver Charles and is filled to near capacity with soul, which lets the emotion rise to the top as Voltz sings about trusting the process of change. The music is mainly created by keys and the entire first section includes a piano loop on top of a pulsating bass synth. If you’ve been reading our blog, you’ll understand that this a reasonably significant departure from the material that we generally feature, but it should also provide evidence that we completely believe in “Miracles.”

The second verse hits us with some cinematic percussion and makes it clear that this track is going to be an epic ride. And by the time the hook arrives, the listener might be left to wonder where they heard this brilliant voice before– Voltz’s vocal style is completely unique, yet modern and the song sounds like something that’s destined to be all over the airwaves. “Miracles is massive, heartfelt, and expertly mixed and mastered and though it is not our usual offering of raw and gritty music, the journey it takes you on is just as triumphant and we can’t think of a better song to stick at the top of the playlists you listen to when starving for motivation– this one will definitely get you there.
