The Fishermen Three - “Out of Style”

From their forthcoming LP, Infinite Feeling, USA-based The Fishermen Three have just released the nostalgia-packed single, “Out of Style.”

This track is rich with an unmistakable, analogue glow, dipping its sun-kissed feet into the depths of retro-inspired inspiration. Fans of Cotton Jones and Jeff Tweedy will find their interest immediately piqued at the press of the play button, but there’s something within “Out of Style” for listeners across multiple genres.

A quick drum fill gets things started, inviting the entire band to promptly find their places in the arrangement. Above the playful sway of the groove, an ultra-vibey, tremolo-infused guitar supplies a dreamy and infectious melody, bound and determined to capture the interest of anyone within earshot.

The vocal performance follows suit, utilizing “nostalgic tropes to explore the concept of eschewing trends and staying true to the things and people you love.” And whether it’s the demeanor of the main delivery, or the sweet, heavenly swells from the auxiliary layers, there’s more than enough happening here to completely lose yourself in the sound.

If you like what you hear within “Out of Style” (and we know that you will), be sure to put a reminder in your fancy space phones for August 29, when the full album, Infinite Feeling, will be available via Royal Oakie. Connect with The Fishermen Three here: Spotify | Instagram | Bandcamp
