Sorin - “Rivers To The Sea”

Romanian-born, Berlin-based singer-songwriter Sorin makes his way onto our blog with the truly divine sounds of his new indie-folk single, “Rivers To The Sea.”

This song is a raw and acoustically-driven beast, filled with confidently strummed chords amidst a sea of synthy ambience. The sound is instantly captivating, hitting our niche for the genre– both sonically and with its nostalgic subject matter of reconnecting with one’s roots.

Sorin’s vocal performance is what has ultimately led to us writing these paragraphs and, once you’ve allowed it to enter your ears, you will fully understand the reason behind this. His voice resplendently drifts across the the soundscape like a dream, conjuring the vibes of everyone’s favorite emotionally-charged music, including that of RY X and SOHN.

As more sounds find their way into the arrangement, prepare to be swept away amidst an entire sea of swelling vocal layers. The soft notes from a bass pour a rich foundation, yet “Rivers To The Sea” is void of any percussive elements, which allow it to flow freely through time and space.

This is our first time hearing from Sorin, but with such a majestic feat as “Rivers To The Sea,” we can guarantee that it will not be the last time he appears on our site.
