Oslo, Norway-based Linnea Vestre, aka SIKADE, returns to the blog with the soothing atmosphere of “greedy heart.”
Pressing play invites you into a world that has been built atop layers of gentle ambience, softly strummed acoustic guitar, and the serene arpeggios of a harp. These sounds meditatively wash across you like an indie folk breeze, free of unnecessary digital embellishment.
SIKADE’s vocal performance arrives, and although her delivery is often soft and little more than a breath, she has a way of demanding our attention. Melancholic and coated in a sheet of reverb, her voice is bound to win you over, particularly if you enjoy the sounds of Adrianne Lenker, or Mitski.
