UK-based Shady Baby have just released “All Too Late,” a high-energy track that bleeds a distinctively British punk-ish indie pop/ rock attitude. The song could easily be one of the more uncompromising tracks from the early years of Oasis.

All Too Late” is built around aggressive indie rock guitar textures that energetically propel the song forward. The intense layered tones are distorted and raw, but highly melodic as they weave a soaring, anthemic, punk-like quality into the composition. The bass and drums solidly anchor the track’s raw groove; the bass is dark and punchy, whilst the drums thrash out an incredibly tight beat.

The charismatic vocals on “All Too Late” are magnificently unpolished and carry a distinctive sense of urgency and emotion. The performance oozes the attitude of classic punk and mod-tinged genres. In many ways, it is reminiscent of Paul Weller during his fronting of The Jam. The whole performance solidifies the anthemic vibes and the relatability of the track’s message.

Speaking about the new single, frontman Sam Leaver said: “‘All Too Late’ is a song about looking to the future and wanting to feel in control of your own life. From feelings of being left behind, it was written as a piece of advice to myself to not be stuck in the past, to take charge of my own life and to know I have the power to change it.”

Layered in catchy gritty guitars and high energy grooves, Shady Baby’s “All Too Late” is a track that demands to be played loud.
