Mary Middlefield - “Band Aid”

Mary Middlefield introduces herself to the world with her beautiful new single, ”Band-Aid.”

This delightful track talks about relationships and its music acts as a healing ‘band-aid’ across the pain that might have been suffered. It is soaring and reflective.

This young Swiss songwriter is moving with amazing confidence in "Band-Aid," which is straightforward, yet quite charming. Simple piano chords and melodious finger plucking open the song. Her singing moves over the music like a cool wind and exhibits a respectable airy range throughout the song. Electric guitar that occasionally reminds one of Fleetwood Mac from the 1970s serves as a compliment to the music's gradual development. The tapping drum sticks create a rhythm, like a train rolling along the tracks, taking us away to somewhere better. Beginning in the middle of the song, violins introduce a soaring, melancholy mood, dancing with the background ambient guitar swells. This musician clearly possesses a true knack for songwriting, and I adore how she has created something original and enchanting. The lyrics come off as direct, sincere, and sympathetic.
