Madi Foster - “Sun & Moon”

When last we heard from Madi Foster, she was serenading us with “White Lines,” but she’s just released another heartfelt indie folk song that deserves the attention of your thoughtful ears. “Sun & Moon (driving in the morning)” begins in that tried-and-true fashion, with the faithful strums of an acoustic, accompanied by a reverb-laden lead guitar, before finally making room for Foster’s wholesome vocal work. This song treats the listener to the obvious metaphor of the sun and the moon posing as the two opposites in a relationship; one rises while the other sets, but one cannot exist without the other. Though the story has spanned the history of all life and love, Madi’s compassionate voice lends a fresh perspective to the tale and this track will quickly find its place inside any playlist dedicated to existing love, the love that once was, or the love that simply cannot be.
