Leah Haworth - “Room For You”

Lancashire-based singer-songwriter Leah Haworth returns to the blog with “Room For You,” an indie-popping journey through hope and longing.

Haworth gets things started with a delicate duet of acoustic guitar and piano, each softy played as they hammer out a melody. A small glimpse of feedback fades in across the soundscape, offering an ambient depth to the arrangement and securing a melancholic vibe that instantly draws in the listener.

The vocal is next to arrive, causing us to recall why we first became enchanted by Haworth’s craft. Her performance is soft and intimate, unscathed by the modern production tactics that seem to suffocate many other indie pop offerings. The second half of the verse ignites an upbeat rhythm section, as well as a fantastic vocal harmony that you are bound to find irresistible.

And even as “Room For You” picks up additional elements, it never abandons its cozy rapport, allowing listeners to consume every bit of it as though a conversation with someone who knows a thing or two about the value of reminiscing. The track is, for all intents and purposes, a pop song, but its acoustically-driven nature will allow it to comfortably fit within any indie folk playlist.

Room For You” is the second single from Haworth’s forthcoming EP, and if you’re in the area, you can catch it live at TT Liquor in London on April 16th and at the Half Moon on April 23rd. You can otherwise find her across the vastness of the internet: Spotify | Instagram | Facebook | X
