Kevin Scoma - “I Want Every Part of You”

Kevin Scoma from the USA has just released the beautifully captivating “I Want Every Part of You.” The song is dreamy and romantic whilst having a nice underlying moody quality.

I Want Every Part of You” has some really enjoyable dancing acoustic finger picking lines. As they weave their pleasant bright melody, it is contrasted by another acoustic guitar that hypnotically riffs underneath. These two guitars form a solid groove that satisfyingly pushes the song along when the vocal is not taking center stage.

The inclusion of strings gives the music a distinctive elegance while also enhancing the wistful mood that permeates this track. This, for me, is heightened by the relaxed drum groove that gently pushes the arrangement forward, creating a gentle rocking feel.

The vocals are gentle and dreamy. Vocal doubling is used over the chorus, enhancing this mood while providing a satisfying growth in dynamics. The inclusion of the "oooh" lines adds a hint of playful joyfulness. I really love the graceful flurries of the strings heightening the emotional impact in this section.

Before the final chorus, Scoma includes a dynamic break that provides some gorgeous sonic contrasts. The playful mood briefly breaks for a more melancholic, intimate, and confessional tone. This brings some real weight to the song’s final chorus.

I Want Every Part of You” is a beautiful and heartfelt song. You will get lost in the creative guitar lines and original string arrangements. This song is the first single to be taken from his forthcoming debut album.
