Devarrow - “Kickin’”

Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Graham Ereaux, aka Devarrow, has just released the wonderfully chill and folksy sounds of “Kickin’.”

This delightfully carefree number gets started with a quick build, followed by an acoustic guitar-driven arrangement that completely nails our niche for vintage flavor. The bass has been wonderfully glued to the upbeat rhythm with a layer of mouthwatering, late-‘60s compression that we often cannot resist. Straight out of the gate, “Kickin’” is a delicious throwback to the analogue sounds of yore.

Devarrow’s vocal performance follows suit, as it beholds a classic, retro-imbued vibe that will immediately enchant anyone within earshot. Once the layers of harmonies arrive, we foresee many lovers of honest and authentic music quickly adding it to their favorite playlists. And if, for some reason, that is not enough to tickle your fancy, wait until you get an earful of the gritty lead guitar, which tastefully adds a sheen of indie rock goodness across the production.

Kickin’” has been masterfully crafted to ensure that listeners are completely defenseless to its ability to make you feel good. And if there’s one thing the world needs right now, it is a steady supply of dopamine, which is available to you here in two-minute-and-forty-second increments. Simply press that play button to begin your daily dose.
