Cole Scheifele - “If I Die Tomorrow”
Denver, Colorado’s Cole Scheifele returns to the blog with “If I Die Tomorrow,” the fourth single from In Case You Ever Come Around, his forthcoming EP.
Like most of Scheifele’s work, “If I Die Tomorrow” is another intimate look into the his authentic, Rocky Mountain craft. This track boasts a no-frills production, consisting primarily of delightfully finger-plucked acoustic guitar, a subtle organ pad, and rich, deep notes from a bass. Throughout the song’s duration, careful listeners will detect some hints of banjo for additional folksy flavor.
As per usual, where “If I Die Tomorrow” truly wins over its listeners is in Scheifele’s vocal performance. The man has such a profound gift for both writing introspective lyrical content and delivering it as though you’re the only one he trusts with his secrets. As soon as you press that play button, Scheifele grabs hold of your full attention and does not let go until the very last note.
With a gentle vibe designed for cross-country roadtrips, complete with harmonizing vocal layers in all the right places, we cannot recommend this one more highly. “If I Die Tomorrow” is now available everywhere and we implore you to get it into your ears as soon as you are good and able.
