Bon Bon - “Fall”

If you’re in the mood for a gentle groove with a vintage flair, look no further than “Fall,” the latest track from Bon Bon. This one was pitched to us as indie folk, dream pop, and surf rock– quite the musical recipe… but the dish, we assure you, is absolutely exquisite.

Fall” begins with some major Dusty Springfield vibes– musically, not vocally. And if you only do one thing today, let it be witnessing how tightly the bass is glued to the drums as they lend their support to the shimmering guitar chords that coast across the top of this track. “Fall” is worth a listen for its first twenty-five seconds alone, so strap on your headphones and be prepared to send us a ‘thank you’ card… But wait! There’s more!

These vocals are going to sweet talk their way onto your list of all time favorites. They are the epitome of excellence and you are bound to marvel at their ability to gracefully flow up into a falsetto. It is at this point that we cannot decide which we prefer, the music or this voice– but the best part is that we don’t have to choose! Because they are both part of the same song!

Though it is called “Fall,” we cannot think of a song better suited to be part of our soundtrack to the slowly approaching summer. This one is a cool breeze that we’ll all be begging for come July, and we’re willing to wager that it’ll sound great on the highway with the windows rolled down.
