London-based shoegazers atmos bloom debut on the blog with the reflective “It’s Enough,” a tune that traverses the pressure of meeting everyone’s expectations.

Amid a droning, synth-flavored wave of ambience, a gentle rhythm creates a pathway for this dreamy number to take shape. A Cure-esque bass line emerges, enticing the washed out sounds of shimmering guitar to assume their position. If you were to look up modern shoegaze in the dictionary, you would likely find this song betwixt the music of DIIV and Alvvays.

The meditative vocal performance of Tilda Gratton is a definite highlight here, entering the ears in a Hope Sandoval-meets-Kim Gordon kind of way. It’s no wonder the duo has amassed so many listeners, as songs like “It’s Enough” seem to effortlessly ride the line between melancholy and introspection.

Across the refrain, Gratton provides additional vocal textures, which only add to the wide, dreamlike state of this song’s existence. Between this, the reverberating guitars, and the relentless rhythm section, you’re going to have a very difficult time deciding which you love more. It’s a good thing you won’t go to jail for listening on an endless loop.

It’s Enough” arrives ahead of Everythingness, the duo’s forthcoming LP.
