Alien Tango - “1000 Years”

London-based Spanish musician Alien Tango (real name Alberto García) has released his new single, “1000 Years.”

The music makes you feel upbeat and has some clever lyrics that make you smile. Alien Tango has introduced a lot of intriguing noises and has played about with the song's rhythmic framework, which is characteristic of his style… and I love it. The song's middle features an extremely intriguing distorted section that slows down and develops into an almost slow anthem for the song's conclusion. However, do not stop when you believe it to be over– it returns to give you some ear candy in the form of a trippy reprise.

According to the artist: “1000 Years is the first song I ever wrote for my new record, and as soon as I wrote it, I already knew it would be the last on the tracklist. I basically began from the end and reverse-engineered my way back to the beginning of the album. Still, I want it to be the first one I share with you today,” Alberto explains. “A high-energy pop rock song, it’s a love song towards everything. Fueled by existential angst but finding a moment of enlightenment: anything could last one second or a thousand years, it doesn’t matter, what matters is the infinity of possibilities contained in the current moment.”
