TNYEYS - “Lark Lane”

Norwegian artist TNYEYS has just released the indie pop rock track, “Lark Lane,” featuring Andreas H. Kase.

The shifting sonic tapestry is painted out of well selected and superbly recorded layers. Rhythm electric guitar gives a satisfying sense of drive with quick downward strokes. The pulsing texture makes the groove feel tight and cohesive. Lead electric guitar melodically weaves in all the right places, with lush, dreamy tones. Rich, shimmering synth layers flesh out the arrangement with atmospheric and dreamy melodic lines.

Percussively, the track is tight and punchy, bringing a satisfying and compelling clarity to the groove. Over some areas, the beat feels almost as though it is leaning into the disco genre. Supporting this groove is the slick bass line that warmly pulses underneath.

The vocal performance of Andreas H. Kase has a pleasing, distinctive timbre which helps to make this tune quite memorable. Whilst adding character and depth, the vocal shows a wonderful mastery of dynamics, shifting from more intimate to soaring heights with ease. Supporting are some well executed backing vocals that are exquisitely drenched in reverb.

Lyrically, “Lark Lane“ is “a small tribute to the inspiring atmosphere of Lark Lane, Liverpool.” The song feels like a bright, kaleidoscopic journey build on top of a solid indie rock backbeat. The music ebbs and flows with a breezy and cool sense of ease, which makes this a pop song you should pay attention to. “Lark Lane” is the first single from the upcoming album, The Lark Lane Melancholy.
