Wodan Boys - “Fun Fact”

From the Netherlands, Wodan Boys have just released the infectious indie pop/ rock track, “Fun Fact.” The song has an electrifying, early Blur crossed with the flamboyant garage punk of The Hives kind of vibe.

Fun Fact” is full of bursting energy, thanks to the solid drum groove that propels us through the composition. A pleasing sense of ebb and flow is created from the ever-shifting layers that are applied on top. Electric guitars inject staccato-like grooves and raw energy with gritty power chords. Bass is introduced over the main chorus areas to give a sense of epic, driving weight and depth. Handclaps are also used to enhance the nonchalant, fun vibes that permeate the track.

The vocals on this track walk the tricky path of being full of indifference, yet are also incredibly energetic and boisterous. They firmly nail the main hook over the chorus, making “Fun Fact“ one hell of an ear worm. Lyrically, the song displays Wodan Boys‘ distain and satisfaction in breaking free from an era and world dominated by self-help reels, business podcasts, and lifestyle prophets. Taking aim at the guys who bombard you with trivial information, they enthusiastically respond that they “don’t wanna here about it.”

Fast-paced, raw guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and charismatic vocals. What more do you need from a song? Wodan Boys’ “Fun Fact” is the latest single to be taken from their upcoming debut album.
