Two new singles from Serotones

Sadly, the outfit known as Serotones have announced that they will be taking a break from performing for the time being. The York-based five piece broke the news to their fans via social media and feel so badly about it that they have decided to pacify everyone with not one, but two new singles.

One of these peace offerings comes in the form of a track called “Afraid to Speak,” a three and a half minute indie ball of fire that is sure to earn them some forgiveness– until they decide to pick things up again.

But the clock is ticking, boys! You can’t just say you’re lea– oh, right… There’s a second single!

It’s like having your cake and eating it, too, but also having more cake and eating that as well. The second track, “The Day Will Come,” begins quite a bit slower than the first– the moral equivalent of the band showing us their puppy dog eyes so we will save a place for them in our hearts while they take some time away.

In all seriousness, these are two of the greatest parting gifts we’ve ever heard– as long as it’s only good bye for now, not good bye forever.
