UK-based Pastel Jungle have just released the chilled neo-psychedelic track “Ego Alice.” This one will make you long for summer with its warm breezy vibes.

Ego Alice” is an incredibly inviting track, brimmed full of lush, vivid textures. The song is built around a slow drum groove with a punchy, almost mesmerising beat. Bass pulses warmly and melodically, enhancing the cool groove. Over the top, shimmering and hazy electric rhythm guitar melts effortlessly into the composition. Breezy synths are introduced in key areas to build a sense of simmering reflective intensity. The sun-soaked vibes are truly immersive and remind me of BALTHVS.

The smooth yet sizzling lead guitar sounds really set the track alight. The expressive wah-wah tones heighten the tranquil mood and sustain with a satisfying sense of ease. There is almost a feel of Santana in the sweet, melodic lines. The vocal delivery enhances the sun-drenched vibes with its laid-back, breathy tones. In some sections, a filtering effect is used, which oozes a sense of hazy, dreamlike charm.

About the track, Pastel Jungle adds, “I wanted to bring some of the visuals I’ve experienced on trips to life with the spatial elements of the track like distant, wavering vocals, trippy verbs and delays and super warm and soulful electric guitar licks reminiscent of late 60s psychedelia. Lyrics are a bit out there to solidify the theme alongside an atypical structure to keep listeners guessing and ready for the next hook.”

Ego Alice,” by Pastel Jungle, is a striking slice of neo-psychedelia. The immersive track will truly leave its listener feeling sun-soaked.
