Meir Levine - “All Your Worries”

Hudson Valley-raised, but currently Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Meir Levine has just released the fantastic sounds of “All Your Worries.”

This track begins with a stripped-back and intimate arrangement, primarily consisting of a gently finger-plucked acoustic guitar that rides in on the tails of a mystical swell. Levine’s warm and cozy vocal shortly arrives, providing a folksy performance that feels just like home. It is raw, emotive, and completely void of digital manipulation– it’s just his words, a microphone, and a bit of alluring reverb.

Cinematic ambience is provided by the distant rise of backing vocals and the glorious, heavenly sounds of a lap steel. These dreamy elements provide substantial width to an already mesmerizing arrangement, but you haven’t heard anything yet. The second verse comes equipped with a constant harmony that is truly divine, marking the point that “All Your Worries” begins the steady climb into its crescendo.

More and more sounds emerge, over time revealing a slow-burning masterpiece. Percussive elements arrive and eventually give way to a fully fleshed-out rhythm section, including some deep, round bass. Backing vocals work their way into the foreground. and by the time you enter the final third of the song, the raw and stripped-back beginning is just a sparsely recorded memory.

All Your Worries” is the kind of track that you play again as soon as it ends, so, if you need us, that’s exactly what we’ll be doing for the rest of the weekend.
