Mar Malade - “Moonman”

Mar Malade have completely saturated our hearts with the sweet sounds of their latest release, “Moonman.” This song is unlike anything we’ve heard recently, as it has this strange ability to sweep across your skin as though it were fresh linen. For some of you, it may cause you to recall all of the records that your parents used to play before you were old enough to appreciate them; for others, it might sound like the soundtrack to an island getaway. The bottom line is that “Moonman” is very serene and brilliantly soothing.

This German-based musical collaboration of Alexander Hauer and Michèl M. Almeida is quite the magical experience… Is it folk? Is it pop? Is it inspired by the ’60s or is it more of a modern sound? Quite simply, the answer is yes; it is all of these things at the same time. The vocals harmonize in such a way that you could use them to serenade your future lover(s) or they could be used as a lullaby to whisk you away from the mundane. “Moonman” beholds such a simple and natural foundation of instruments that it begs to be played in every coffeehouse around the world– and also on the stereo in your car, as you drive yourself to one of these coffeehouses.

Moonman” comes from Mar Malade’s EP of the same name and is available everywhere you put music into your ears. But hey, we can hook you up with their Spotify:
