Rome-based singer-songwriter Eleonora Danese, aka Kuni, has just released “My Best,” a departure from the indie pop sounds of her last EP and a step toward the world of shoegaze.

The track opens with the glorious swell of melodic feedback, paving the way for the digital remnants of some synthy tones. Soon enough, Kuni’s vocal arrives, possessing all the dignified features of Florence Welch. Her delivery is smooth and stirring, promptly reeling us into the realm of “My Best.”

Before the thirty second point, a beat erupts, carrying with it a wall of distorted power chords and a bass line that has been designed to keep listeners roused. Vocal harmonies rain down upon the arrangement and ignite a texture that provides the track with additional width.

In its less-than-three-minute runtime, Kuni lets no note go to waste, guaranteeing her listeners complete and total sonic satisfaction. From the sublimely fuzzed-out guitar sounds to the confident and emotional vocal performance, you cannot afford to miss out on “My Best.”
