Indie-duo Gin Jupiter, from the USA and Sweden, have just released the velvety, reflective indie folk track, “Bird Song.”
“Bird Song” is a soft, swaying anthem of empathy, compassion and peace with disarmingly beautiful musical layers. The unhurried sounds of acoustic guitars evocatively immerse us into a dreamy mood with their jangling warmth. Rich tones and depth that I would compare to golden morning sunlight.
Holding the slow-burning arrangement together is the gentle shuffle of the drums and a adorably rounded bass. The natural, open, yet intimate mood is exquisitely heightened by the airy birdsong additions that flutter delicately in during the composition. Every note and every sound are like a breath of fresh air or a moment frozen in time.
Cementing the soothing mood on “Bird Song” are the inviting, tender, almost conversational vocals that are rich in sensitive nuances and delicate timbres. Supporting the delivery are smooth, vintage toned harmonies that sound as if they have been lifted from a treasured 1960s folk gem.
