Francisco Sola - “Use & Dispose”

Buenos Aires-based singer-songwriter Francisco Sola never ceases to amaze us with his elegant craft and today he’s released the divine indie rock/ indie pop sounds of “Use & Dispose.”

As Sola gradually releases the contents of his upcoming LP, we have been more than happy to feature each song that he sends over to us. They are each filled to the brim with exquisite guitar sounds and phenomenal vocal performances and it is safe to say that Sola is, by far, one of our favorite finds for 2023. His latest single, “Use & Dispose,“ is absolutely no exception to any of these rules. And though he first won us over with the cinematic and folksy sounds of “I’ll Be Gone,” we are always open to hear a more indie rock-oriented production.

Use & Dispose“ begins with a brief, lo-fi performance before bursting to life. The bass and drums form a rhythm that is quite gentle, yet delightfully upbeat. A guitar jangles over the top as Sola flawlessly delivers the lyrics to our ears. We are catching somewhat of an Athlete vibe here, which, as far as we’re concerned, is no small feat, in and of itself.

A lead guitar and arpeggiating synth provide listeners with ear candy as the song continues, ensuring to bring everyone back for multiple listens. The hook provides us with more of that Jeff Buckley-infused vocal that Sola initially utilized to cement us as fans. And because of this, we wager that many music lovers will find themselves lost in his remarkable gift for establishing the perfect melody.

Around midway through the track, layers of backing vocals are deployed, providing us with something new to love about “Use & Dispose“ with each new listen. We truly get excited whenever we see a new submission from Francisco Sola and we encourage you to play this one along with us as we eagerly await the rest of his upcoming album.
