The Moonjacks - “Fishnets”

The Moonjacks are a “rowdy three-piece rock ’n’ roll outfit from Bummy, California” and we’re completely elated to feature their new single, “Fishnets.”

This track begins extremely lo-fi, completely glorious in its mesmerizing melody as just a vibey guitar accompanies the vocal. The lyrics walk us through the act of falling for the “girl with the long, black hair who smells like roses.” And we warn you not to judge the sentimentality of the subject matter before you’ve heard it put to music– because this thing is going to rock your face completely off of your skull at about the twenty-five-second mark.

Fishnets” is many things– it pops, it rocks, and its vibe will surely win you over. This song is for the music lovers who long for that click-clack sound of skateboarding down midsummer sidewalks, and for driving towards the beach just as the sun is about to go down. The rhythm is upbeat and the melody is infectious, and we dare you to try and keep your heart from smiling as you listen to its two-and-half-minute runtime.

Fishnets” is the third single from The Moonjacks’ upcoming LP and if the other songs on the album are anything like it, your soundtrack for summer is now complete.
