Toronto-based singer-songwriter Emma Campbell has returned to us with “All of This Is Magic,” the final installment of a three-song project.

All of This Is Magic” is centered around a delightfully stripped-back and intimate arrangement that consists of some raw acoustic guitar and Campbell’s glorious vocal performance. And while the contents of the song are minimal, the production and emotion allow it to enter your ears as though a tidal wave of sound.

The subject matter traverses the concept of all the mystery and excitement that a new love entails, and then the reality of it not quite meeting your expectations. The words hit hard and might even open some old wounds, as Campbell’s voice has the gift of authenticity and you should not be surprised when you end up believing every single word that she sings.

The track was originally recorded live and uncut, but there are delicate moments of ear candy that have been dubbed in for your maximum listening pleasure. Among these, it would be criminal not to mention the remarkable vocal layers that emerge around midpoint, as well as some additional guitar and deep bass that add width and weight to “All of This Is Magic,” respectively.

As the song winds down, it returns the sparseness of its inception and we have a feeling that you will feel compelled to press that play button, again and again. If you happen to be going through a breakup or are simply wondering where your heart started to fall apart, let “All of This Is Magic“ be the soundtrack to your despair.
