M.A.G.S. - “Elephant”

Fuzzed out guitar and howling feedback greet your ears, prepping them for indie rock bliss in the form of “Elephant” by M.A.G.S. Phenomenal vocals bust through this splendid wall of sound– but wait– it’s not all unbridled power… The bridge brings it all down to a half-whisper and gentle guitar. But hold on– I have a feeling this is a set up. Cue the Star Wars “It’s a trap” meme. I was right! It’s a beautiful trap! Drums, bass, and guitar come gloriously roaring back in to finish things off on level 11. Yep, this is a great ride with a lovely sonic stamp and a fantastic, rocking stomp. I cannot get over how good these vocals are. The oscillation between sweet singing that almost has a pop sheen and fierce, distorted shouting works perfectly for this song. Give it a spin and you will hear what I mean.
