Dubinski - “Gotta Get Outta This Place”

Dubinski is an Edinburgh-based band that consists of four brothers: Eugene, Fergus, Donal, and Eoin. Their songs are catchy and well-crafted, not to mention: they pack a punch! November not only marks the release of their new album, but they will also be playing a string of UK dates with Everclear. World renowned radio host Jim Gellatly has called Dubinski “one of the best live acts around at the moment,” and when you hear what we have in store for you, you’re gonna believe him.

They have just released “Gotta Get Outta This Place,” a big, hard-hitting earworm of a song. The verses are short and sweet, with just drums and bass and the odd pinch of guitar… incredibly minimalist… On the verses, the guitar focuses on inventive picking sounds, rather than showcasing “being a guitar hero,” but the relentless pounding of the drums keeps the song moving, bursting into the energetic juggernaut of a chorus, where, finally, the guitar gets to roar as a tambourine surrounds the vocal hook. Small breaks are masterfully placed in order to give the listener some short relief before coming back for more.

But don’t take our word for it; press play:
