Munich-based Deer Park Avenue have just released “Strut” (feat. Gregg Bissonette), a grooving beast that is loaded with gritty guitar riffs. After listening to this, you will know Deer Park Avenue mean business.

The song delivers a punch with its classic indie and garage rock tones. The gritty guitars are determined to blow you off your feet as the song begins, riffing and scorching the ground with their burning tones and bold edges. The bass pulses sluggishly underneath the track, enhancing the swagger as drums force home the song’s sheer power. The dynamics within “Strut” are played with gorgeously ant there are times when you feel like you are being led on a musical voyage. Powerful and forceful waves cause the track to ebb and flow. The lyrics are delivered intimately with a sense of tension, heightened by some chugging guitar before exploding into the massive, howling hooks that magically fill this track.

Bountiful indie-rock moments can be found within this song’s grooves. The tension feels like it is allowed to spill out during the drum solo before the lead guitar swells up into a brief solo. It is truly a beast of a tune and I can only describe “Strut“ as a song that has taken its cues from artists like Jack White, Karen O, Chrissie Hynde, and The Black Keys. The vocal performance, which is imbued with a contagious energy and an expressive, dynamic range, is a prominent feature of “Strut.” Its howling vocals feel like the venting of energy; however, the performance strikes a nice balance between emotion and aggression.

Strut,” by Deer Park Avenue, is a thunderous piece of indie/garage rock. The song is bursting with scorching riffs and passionate vocals. Make sure you play this one loud.
