Deathcruiser - “quiet elegance”

quiet elegance” marks the return of songwriter Adam Roth, aka Deathcruiser, and beholds a collaboration with Atlanta-based poet David Luse.

The faint notes of a piano get this one started, soon joined by an elaborate duet with an acoustic guitar. The instruments tenderly populate the arrangement as a delicate ambience is formed, setting the course for “quiet elegance” and your complete and total listening pleasure.

Roth’s vocal is next to arrive, raw and authentic as it sets Luse’s impactful words to music. On the refrain, he reaches into his upper register, adding width to the production as some gentle percussion appears. The vibey strums from an effected electric guitar make their way to the song’s surface, and we find something new to love with each listen.

A divine highlight here is the third verse, where most of the instruments drop out to reveal an intimate performance from Roth, so vulnerable that it might as well be a conversation with a close friend. And for the final hook, he soars into his falsetto– one of the reasons we became fans of Deathcruiser in the first place.

We’re hoping that you enjoy this new Deathcruiser tune as much as we do. As the days grow shorter, winter will be here before we know it, and it’s the stripped-back and heartfelt songs like “quiet elegance” that we will utilize to provide warmth.
