The Len Price 3 - “Break Your Neck”

For those of you not in the know, we prefer music that is raw and gritty. And while that generally gets spread across the pages of our blog as the delightfully stripped back recordings of indie folk, we’re also quite fond of it being delivered via garage rock. So when we caught an earful of “Break Your Neck,” by The Len Price 3, we were completely blown away.

This track doesn’t waste any time– but with a runtime of only two minutes, we did not expect it to dawdle. “Break Your Neck” hits the ground running, with bass and drums afire as the guitar makes an appearance grand enough to rival any Quentin Tarantino production. And once it kicks in, it’s power chords a go-go, making it immediately obvious that this one will beat the ever-living-crap out of any stage brave enough to host it.

Break Your Neck” rocks so unbelievably hard that we were convinced it got its name from an unfortunate mosh pit mishap, but it’s actually about an infamous 17th-century executioner– so, not only do you get a kickass song, but a history lesson to boot. This track will fill the niche for most indie rock connoisseurs, but it will also satiate the palates of those who hunger for the flesh of The Cramps-era punk rock.

We promise that you’ll have a blast once you press play. And before you start demanding that we cover more of their music, here’s the album pre-save.
