Alien Tango is Alberto Garcia, from Spain, who now lives in London. With “Workinonit,” Garcia has cooked up a psychedelic masterpiece, elegantly blending different genres and elements from across musical decades. “Workinonit” is not the stereotypical beige psych that copies Tame Impala– this is brilliant and catchy.
Garcia has a distinctive and unusual voice, which perfectly suits his musical creations. Piano keys breezily drift over the top of a funky bass line, creating the perfect hook and luring the listener into a false sense of security. "Workinonit" then breaks into another level of flair and flamboyance, adding synth sounds that briefly break into acoustic chords. The incredibly creative structure changes to an end section that nudges close to hip-hop.
